DIETRA STIVAHTIS
2012 President, Oregon Chapter
Thank you to our members for the opportunity to serve as the 2012 Chapter President of NAIOP Oregon!
It has been a challenging few years for us all in the commercial real estate industry. I am excited for the momentum and opportunities that 2012 will bring as the recovery continues to strengthen.
NAIOP has continued to grow throughout the economic downturn. Thanks to our members, committees, and Board of Directors & Officers, NAIOP Oregon is now at an all time high in membership. We are continuously implementing programs and systems for enhanced value for membership to help continue that growth throughout 2012 and beyond.
Your Oregon NAIOP Chapter works to benefit members by creating a sense of community with our high-quality engaged Board of Directors, committees, and members working to track and support legislative issues and provide quality education and opportunities to network with peers and potential prospects.
One of the key benefits for NAIOP members, and the backbone of who we are, is the strongest unified advocacy voice for commercial real estate in the region. We accomplish that through our strong relationships with elected officials, well researched testimony, and a respected, credible approach to public policy issues.
If you are a member, thank you for your continued support of NAIOP Oregon. I would also encourage you to get involved with one of our many committees to gain the most from your membership. Please contact me to determine which committee might be the best fit with your business model.
If you are not yet a member, I would encourage you to join now to start experiencing the value of NAIOP membership. As membership continues to grow, the benefits will increase as well. Our calendar section on this website will provide you with a list of upcoming events.
NAIOP Oregon is committed to creating a sense of community for our commercial real estate industry by “Promoting opportunities for commercial real estate through advocacy of local public policies, education, networking, and legislative representation”. Your NAIOP leadership and committees will continue this streamlined focus throughout 2012 to ensure members receive the highest value.
I look forward to serving you as President this year. If you have questions or feedback about our organization or programs, please contact me, any one of our Board Members or Officers, or our Executive Director, Kelly Ross.
On behalf of NAIOP Oregon, best wishes for 2012!
